is convenience becoming inconvenient?

Gone are the days when you had to fetch water from a well or pick your own vegetables. We have said good riddance to stairs and replaced them with escalators. Walking is a thing of the past and you can now get a heart attack in the form of a burger in less then 5 minutes without getting out of your car. Yup, humanity has become a bunch of lazy blobs.

it fascinates me to think how far we have come as a species with regards to science and technology and yet how stupid we have become when it comes to basic lifestyle choices. Not too long ago people were living off the land, eating natural foods and actually moving around. Now people are living on food that comes out of a can or packet and most people spend the majority if the day cooped up in an office sitting on a chair. Now is it just me or is that a little bit bizarre?

Personally I do not like this new age way of living. I could quite happily hop into a time machine and go live like a cave man. Human beings have forgotten the basic needs for survival and jumped straight into all the unnecessary things and relying on convenience to give them all the basics. Unfortunately convenience does not supply what’s best for us… only what’s most cost effective and stuffed with the most MSGs (the stuff that makes food addictive).

Moral of the story: convenience is making us fat. So use the stairs, make a salad, avoid fast food and for goodness sakes… get off your chair for 20 minutes and go for a walk, so some squats or just stand. Think like a caveman!
